Whilst we travel around the world to photograph some pretty spectacular weddings, pokolbin in the hunter valley vineyards will always be home and have our heart. Being able to photograph Alex and Scott's wedding at two of our regular amazing venues, peppers convent for preparation and circa 1876 for ceremony and reception we were right in our element and Jane and i had a wonderful time with this fun filled crazy couple!
Now I'm a self confessed 'details' junkie and my macro lens is just as integral as my heart (legit...ish). therefore, i will always go with the girls for preparation and seek out all things pretty to photograph. knowing Alex and Scott had hired our good friends and styling genius peonies boutique weddings, I walked up the stairs at peppers convent with a happy smile knowing i had beautiful florals to capture as soon as i entered the room, well after i said 'hi' and had a chat that is.
everything about the day went off without a hitch and there was even a fantastic surprise when alex's dad and his band entertained the guests at the star of the reception. it really set the tone for a fantastic evening and it was brilliant seeing everyone dancing so early!
laughter was aplenty, drinks flowed, food was shared and feet danced to the beat all evening. jane and i left tired but very happy knowing we had been apart of another very special day.
